About Meraki Estates

Jason Donlon

Property Developer

I’m Jason Donlon, owner and founder of Meraki Estates. I have always had a passion for property and wanting to create living spaces for people less fortunate that they can proudly call home.

My journey began around 6 years ago when I decided that I wanted to embark on the property journey full time. It was a massive leap of faith and came with huge challenges on the way which were my firm foundations of learning and growth.

I quickly realised that in this industry, building up your network of fellow property developers, suppliers and professionals is key. As well as local groups, I recently joined Prosperity Network which is a group of professional property developers who learn, share and encourage each other to challenge themselves and grow.

I am fully committed to my property education as the market and conditions are very dynamic and it is important to be able to respond and adapt quickly to an ever changing landscape.

I get asked frequently – why Meraki? What does it mean? Meraki, is a  Greek word, derived from the Turkish “Merak” (Labor of love, to do something with pleasure), and is applied to tasks.

Meraki means to do something with passion, with absolute devotion, with undivided attention. That is why I chose the name because it mirrors my personal and business values.
